So I have been an XM subscriber for a long time. I have been going through the same song and dance every 6-12 months for the last 7 or 8 years. Call, get he promo price, and then before it renews; call again... Rinse and repeat.
This last time, they set me up for the promo price automatically for one more 6-month period. I got a new American Express card and the one they tried to use did not work. This put my account in some weird "past due" state, but it continued to work. I called them to take care of it and actually decided to cancel it since I am not really driving often due to working from home due to COVID-19. They wanted me to pay a pro-rated $14 or so. I asked them, due to my tenure, to just take care of it for me. They did. My radio has continued to work now months later. I am in some sort of free service limbo.
