Which Kia Stinger trim will you purchase?

Congrats! How long have you had it (not to roll too far off the poll post and all)? Any issues?

Which Kia Stinger trim will you purchase?

In the Pacific NW dealers have 4-8 most GT2 AWD models and some 2.0L Premiums. GT1's and GT's are very hard to find. I don't believe it is because GT and GT 1's are being sold in quantity, rather, it's that the dealers are getting shipped a lot of GT2 AWD models...

Which Kia Stinger trim will you purchase?

Kiagal, I'm in a toss-up towards the 2.0L Premium vs the GT. I'd equip both with the Drive Wise package. The 2.0L Premium offers quite a lot of stuff, but I'm not a sun-roof guy, and the GT does come with some goodies also, so I'm a bit split... The 2.0L - in theory - gets better gas mileage...

Kia Stinger Out The Door Price Thread

Steve O, how did your new suspension work out the back end control? Did it help? How does that work with the electronics working with the suspension? Does it just auto-adapt or does it think the old system is still in place?

Kia Stinger Out The Door Price Thread

Congrats Steve O! Glad to keep seeing people really enjoying the car. I'm still saving. For me, this will be my most expensive car purchase by about $10k! A huge jump for me. Current car $24,995 (Mazda6 Touring w/Tech), and previous also $25,000 for Nissan Maxima. So from my perspective/pocket...

Kia Stinger at Chicago Auto Show

It is odd, how Kia has all these colors, but is limiting them to a great degree. Or why so many GT's in blue, etc... They certainly simplified the mix in paint choices to feature sets as much as possible to keep initial quality up, and costs down. Here's to 2019...

Really dig the yellow. What, 1 in 100 are made with yellow? And Panthera Metal is also a rare duck, but a good looker.

    Advice on lease needed

Sarona, Yes, I agree with MurlinatoR. You need all the details. Look at some of the lease and buy threads here and you can learn a LOT! The Residual of a GT is 54% of sticker, so that's $23,422. $419 x 36 months = $15,084 Sub-Total: $38,506 You are putting in $22,000 (trade in + down payment)...

Kia Stinger at Chicago Auto Show

Like the stock wheels much better. But I get it, auto show, look at me ride. Ground effects, not too impressed with either, but hey, that's just me. Thanks for the post! At the PDX auto show they didn't have one on the floor people could sit in! Just spinning on a podium. "Hello?! The...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

@mildavis2 and Murlinator, There is only a .5% sales tax in Oregon. That is figured on the Adj. Capital cost when leasing (at least I believe that's what I have read/been told). Saves me about $300+ vs against MSRP, which is how OR does it. NO sales tax when purchasing anything but a new car...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

Yeah, I've thought of the used car loan also. I can get one for around 3% from a Credit Union (good credit). Plus, my loan would be about $12k (the rest is from saving up, and cash from selling my current car). Thus, a 60mo loan at 3% for $12k and I pay it off in about 2.5 years. Minimal...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

BriTay, Yes, it is ONLY for new car purchases. Of course it's called a "privilege" tax (of course). With it, they raised the gas tax $0.11 over 3 years, and DMV and title and license fees. Now it's time for Cap & Trade, because Oregon can save the planet don't cha know. Should only cost the...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

"I concur with MurlinatoR. Do you concur?" Name that movie? But yes, Kia Financial holds all those cards, and that information isn't getting out. That info never gets out until the day it launches - March 1st. One day of advanced information and it's one day of potentially delayed or lost...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

Thanks for more beltway lingo explanations! 1-Pay. Booo!!!! And yes, I don't see why I would need to pay on-the-spot on my first lease payment. Just bill me like everything else. And in 4 days I'll simply get a hold of Kia Financial and buy the car - which ELIMINATES: ? Rental Charge (36 months...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

Loving the tips man! Now, I was thinking I needed to set up the lease, make an initial payment (first month) then buy out the car. But you imply to NOT do this? Is that what you mean by a 1-pay lease? Rather, setup the lease in it's entirety, and do NOT make the first lease payment, rather just...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

Okay, that is VERY interesting. I find it irregular (granted, this is car financing we are talking about here!...) they can actually throw back in the Rental Fee (interest), back I were to just pay off the 35 months in advance. How can a financial group legally charge me interest when paying off...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

Thank you so much MurlinatoR. That said, I should probably be very careful the dealership does not throw OTHER fees into my contract, yes?... Now, when you state "Total Buyout" of the car, is that JUST for the 35 remaining months of the lease portion (that is, the base payment minus the Rent...

Kia Fun Facts - Did you know...?

Older than Honda, but didn't hire a marketing agency to work on their logo until 2017... Just kidding! At least they are workin on it. IMHO, they should just go with the "K" logo, even if it looks a bit like Lexus, but that can't be a bad deal right?... QUESTION: Okay, a REAL question for ya...

Kia Stinger Out The Door Price Thread

MurlinatoR, Yah, that is very investing... The are a lot of factors. Men, overall, make higher wages, because - gulp, being honest here - some women have kids and CHOOSE to work part-time, and some GASP, want to actually stay home and raise kids. Reality Flash: A position pays the same for a man...

Who turns off the Auto Start/Stop feature when they first get in their Stinger?

There is also eco mode, which I'm assuming is the mode in which most companies are gauging their fuel economies on? Lots of tricks to get that number now-a-days. That said, I can always complain to Kia about making it NOT a momentary latching solution until the car shuts off. Sometimes marketing...
