Would you have purchased the Stinger GT Atlantica if it was available before?

I buy the car, not the color. All dark colors never look good unless they are clean and spotless, and that takes time and work. They do look fantastic when detailed. Depends on how much time you want to invest in keeping it clean.

How many people warm up their Stinger before driving?

Just long enough to back out of the driveway. Then low and slow until coolant reaches normal, then another couple of minutes until everything else reaches normal operating temperature. I try to avoid pulling out of a motel parking lot and running up a steep entrance ramp onto a 75 mph...

    The Fuel Grade Poll

That would be great, MurlinatoR. If you have an "in" with your service manager, see if he can hook up with an engineer. I was a service manager for about 10 years and I always had an open line to top tech people.

Would you have purchased the Stinger GT Atlantica if it was available before?

Love the color, but don't think I'd pay extra for what few additions it has. Wireless charging means nothing to me. 360? camera would be nice but not worth another $1,000 or more. No one rides in my back seats in the winter so heated rear seats are worthless to me.

    computer reset steps?

Does not the climate reset work? If you pull the battery cables you will have to reset everything in the car, not just the Climate.

What's your favorite Kia Stinger Color?

So THAT's the problem. The Canadians stole all the 19" wheels. [clap]

What's your favorite Kia Stinger Color?

Well, 99% of us don't ever plan to drive over 130 mph anywhere. I've only had my GTO to 135 mph - once - and it's good well into the upper 150's they say (whoever "they" are.) In addition, all-weather tires are better all around if you have any snow in winter. Finally, I'm sure the 18" wheels...

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

This varies by drive mode. What drive mode are you using that you don't like?

    Stinger GT braking vibration

I believe the Auto-Hold simply applies the parking brake, so there is a solenoid or actuator involved in that which would not necessarily be "silent."

    Stinger GT braking vibration

Is the vibration with the Auto Start/Stop on or off?

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

Actually, if you just give it back to the computer, it does a great job of finding and keeping the engine in the sweet part of the torque curve while protecting the low and high rev limits. Take a good look at the torque / horsepower charts for the 3.3TT and then look at what the computer is...

Getting ready for a full re-badge

What is the small Stinger badge for? Same size as the one on the back hatch? I just removed the small Stinger from the back-left of the hatch, replaced the center KIA round badge with the big Stinger chrome, and replaced the hubs with "E" hubs. KIA still sits on the hood. I'm not ashamed of...

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

With all due respect, I see two issues here, upsidedown. First, the transmission behavior is tied in to the "learning" mode of the computer, not just in Smart drive mode, but I think in all modes. Depending on how you drive most of the time, the shift points vary and change over time. Second...

The joys of a heated steering wheel on a ?? winter day!

I thought the heated steering wheel was part of the AWD package, not just the GT2. I could be wrong. Don't know because I have the GT2 and AWD both so I don't know which adds the heated steering for sure.

OEM Center Console+Cup Holder with Cover Group Buy

I kind-of agree, but there are many who do not. What good is a cup holder unless you don't want one in the center console? But if you look at all the things that users on this forum do to change their cars, whether for customizing visual effects or functional performance, the list is endless...

    Need help quickly!

There is also a financing option with balloon payment buyout. It depends on the state in which you purchase the car, but in many states, it is a state law that you may buyout the car at any time with no early payment penalty. Finance rates right now are high (7% or so) but if you are buying it...

    fuel

Most (but not all) higher octane fuel has a small percentage of ethanol as an octane booster. As a chemist, I can tell you that ethanol is higher octane than gasoline, but it has lower thermal (chemical) energy and lowers fuel economy. Gasoline is a complex blend of hydrocarbons so it is not...

    Stinger GT braking vibration

Yes, there seems to be a two-position switch for the brake pedal. One high position (light pressure) will activate brake lights and disengage the cruise. The lower (harder) position controls the Stop/Start function and apparently the Auto-hold (which I would never use after years of driving...

The joys of a heated steering wheel on a ?? winter day!

Looks to me like you could use a leg warmer more than a hand warmer. [histerical]

    Stinger GT braking vibration

See my comment on another thread -- duplicate post. The Auto-Hold is for holding the car on a hill so you don't roll backwards when starting from a stop. I don't think it's supposed to be on all the time, just when you need it on a hill. I suspect the vibration is the electric parking brake...
