On the side of my car are three clear stickers. Looks like some kind of protective stuff but why there? It's really weird. I was thinking of trying to peel them off. Anyone else have these on their cars? Will I be able to get it off easily with a hair dryer?

Was the dealer supposed to take them off? I don't see the purpose. The one on the door doesn't even line up with the one on the wheel well trim

I guess it's supposed to be there. Funny I have never seen it before, but looks like some other cars have it too.

I don't know this is really strange to me. I have had many cars and none of them had these stickers. I have seen plenty of chips on the hood and front end but never any chips on the doors or the side skirt.

I had an 06 G35 coupe that came with a clear bra on the front. Thing is when the car was maybe 8 years old a neighbor backed into it and scuffed the clear bra. It ended up being a big deal because the clear bra wouldn't come off. They had to call in a specialist from the company that made it. They did eventually get it off. Had my car for over a week and they damaged the paint a little bit getting it off. Based on that I'm not a fan of clear bras. When the car gets old it will look like shit and then you wont' be able to get it off.

I've been noticing more manufactures install these little patches of paint protection on newer cars. Even my Ford Focus has them lol.

They're also on the inside door handles where your fingernails would hit. They put them on where cars commonly get scratches and dings.

Every Stinger has it. Protects the area from rock chips.

I had them and I’ve seen them on other vehicles. They look like crap after a while. I removed mine.

You need to apply some protection to keep them looking good.

The same type of protection you use on your paint works well with those too.

I did take them off. Hair dryer worked fine. The remaining glue was pretty resistant to alcohol so I went to the bug and tar remover which worked well. Now I'm noticing stickers everywhere. They are on the back bumper which looks good and in the door sills. I guess those are fine.

Had a quality clear bra - pro installed on my '05 4runner (all forward facing surfaces and on both sides, plus the headlights) been thru 3 windshield rock star replacements and bra still is invisible and glossy as rest of paint. Front end repair after tapping a city bus in 2010 and body shop had no probs removing and they sent to pro installer for replacement of bra in repainted areas, all covered by insurance, no probs, love this stuff.
Now with my 2019 stinger gt limited in thunder grey, i had entire car excluding black chrome covered in gloss stonegard. Rick.

To late for me, gonna have to good paint correction first, good call though because this is a really weak paint job. Love my car but Kia failed us here!
