Forward Parking assist fails.

My parking assist alerts stopped working. The failure mode is no front parking assist warnings moving forward after driving vehicle. If I put the vehicle in reverse and then drive, the forward parking assist starts to work again for a short time. then stops working again. I have tested this in my garage and also in parking lots. No forward assist when pulling in, but it all lights back up by putting it in R and then D. Full disclosure, I have removed the front bumper once to install the Velocitek snorkels but plugged everything back in again. If I had left the sensors unplugged they wouldn't work at all. Any ideas what might be going on? Anyone else have a similar problem?
