Anyone using TrueCar to get local Kia Stinger pricing?

Right...I thought TrueCar just showed what people in your area have payed. So they're showing a crowd-sourced pricing range, not negotiating anything.

Costco Auto Program now lists the Kia Stinger

Would certainly be interesting to see how effective this is for a car like the Stinger. The program description and FAQs are somewhat loosey-goosey about how the costs are determined, so no guarantees that it completely eliminates potential for dealer markups. I also noticed their build site...

    Nice little helpful touch

Do we know where it gets that information? Is it a static database on the maps SD card, or does it read the signs dynamically?

    Stinger Korean Car Web Builder

I'm sure it's all about price point. KMA wanted the car to come in as close to the $50K mark as possible, for whatever reason, so they had to find options to delete. Doesn't explain how Canada got them all, and for $10K cheaper, but that's KCI, not KMA.

Adding wireless Qi charging to US models

Don't hold your breath for anything before the 2019s come out, best case.

Seriously? That's a Lyft ride I'd like to take!

Spoke With a Senior KIA Executive

Sorry to see that, but glad it wasn't in a garage!

Spoke With a Senior KIA Executive

The package you propose certainly makes sense. I'd love to see some ? la carte options to restore some of the missing features. I'm not saying they'd be cheap, but sure would be nice to be able to retro-fit OEM cameras or charging pads on any model. I understand why car manufacturers have to...

Spoke With a Senior KIA Executive

Man, you sure are optimistic about 6 months. I'd love to see that too, and certainly not unheard of, but still really a long-shot that '19 models would be out in June/July, and without supply-chain bottlenecks. Good luck to both of us...but you might want to pick up a cheap beater or...

Spoke With a Senior KIA Executive

Completely agree with everything you said. Any chance you could reveal a little more about how you had the opportunity to speak to this executive? Is it something others might have access to, or any recommendations on how to provide feedback to Kia through a channel they are monitoring...

US Market: Which unavailable feature on the Kia Stinger are you most upset the most?

I hear what you're saying, and respect your insider information, but I have to say that the "planning" needed to include features that are already available on the Stinger (and on multiple other Kia models) is trivial compared to the planning required to engineer such features into the car. I...

Kia Stinger now appears on Cars.com

You can set up alerts based on trim and dealer distance. I've got a few active right now on the 4GC (which I might still choose, thanks to Kia's absurd decontenting strategy).

Alfa Romeo Giulia beats out the Kia Stinger for Motor Trend Car of the Year

Look at it this way: Less opportunity for dealers to "market adjust" the the Stinger, since it's merely a CoTY runner-up.

    Kia Logo throughout the years

According to this 2015 article, Kia has a different badge for international markets, although I don't see it on their global website (at least not prominently displayed). It also suggests the K badge (without any other text) is an unofficial aftermarket derivative...

Seems possible to make hood vents functional on the Stinger

Water drainage is a legitimate concern, but what about cooling and other airflow concerns? Could functional vents negatively impact the cooling system calibration and/or turbo airflow? I don't claim any particular expertise, but I'm assuming all of these things were designed based on not...

    US Configurator/Builder is LIVE!!

Don't hold your breath. We got burned on the SVM 360 camera that all the other larger Kias have: Optima, Cadenza, K900, Sorento, and even Sedona.

    US Configurator/Builder is LIVE!!

Yeah, that's pretty lame...only 3 colors, and still only 4 if you go up a trim level. It's also weird that the Panthera Metal is available on GT, but not the GT1 or GT2.

Adding wireless Qi charging to US models

Will be interested to see if the 360? cams can be retrofitted as well, based on the same thought that the electronics are probably already in place (as evidenced in another thread), and wiring harnesses may be too. The most expensive part would probably be replacing the front radar unit, which...

    Available OEM Kia Stinger Accessories

They should offer the 360? camera as a port or dealer option. We know the electronics are there, probably the wiring harnesses too, so just need to add the cameras.
