I really hope I'm wrong about this... Goofy Climate Control

No reason to be a tool. This is an amazing vehicle and a great value. I don?t care about brand names and I have almost always started every post or complaint with the fact that I love this car in general. The fact that I think this one thing is stupid (and it is) doesn?t mean I don?t like the...

I really hope I'm wrong about this... Goofy Climate Control

I appreciate your response, but I still feel that it's unacceptable that the only way to control rear air temp is by using the knob in the rear. Given the fact that I have rear seat passengers about 10% of the time, that means that I'm expected to reach into the back seat to adjust air temp...

I really hope I'm wrong about this... Goofy Climate Control

I'll have to check this, but I usually use Auto and sync (my passengers can kiss off.. It's my car and it'll be my temperature). Unless I'm dead wrong, the sync button was lit up and the rear vent was still blowing different temperature air. I will triple verify this on the way home, but the...

I really hope I'm wrong about this... Goofy Climate Control

So far as I can tell, the rear and front climate control on this vehicle operate completely independently. The front temperature is controlled via the auto/manual controls. The rear temperature is controlled by a little rotating wheel that seems to adjust from cold to hot. The really, really...

    Remote Start!

Mine shuts off when I open the door.. not when I unlock it. But then again, I?m usually using the button on the door to unlock. Since there isn?t a dedicated ?start? button on the key fob, this could just be the process for cancelling remote start.

Testing Out The Harman Kardon Sound System in the 2018 Kia Stinger GT2

I tend to agree.. also, if you go into the advanced settings there are some really cool surround sound options that make it even better. This is hands down better than the B&O system in the Audi S5 Sportback that I tested.. that system lacks bass because the one large subwoofer is in the trunk...

    Kia Stinger Borla Exhaust

Love it! Sounds great, but not overkill and definitely not ?ricer?.

What kind of polish and wax products do you guys you on your car?

I absolutely love Reload from Car Pros.. it?s super easy to apply and it still beaded for 6 months on my Civic. The shine looks great too. I used it in conjunction with CQuartz UK on my Camaro (Black). And it makes washing a breeze.

What is your preferred tuning method?

There?s something to be said for piggybacks that are undetectable for those who would really like to keep their warranty.. I think that flash tunes are the hands down better choice for quality, but I like the idea of a dealer not trying to make me pay for a repair that would have otherwise been...

Took my Stinger to the Drag Strip

Nice! What trim level is that? And did you use launch control?

    Remote Start!

Unfortunately, you have to press the little button on the center console every time you start the car. This is my first vehicle with auto stop/start and I'd say that it works very well with a few minor annoyances: 1. The biggest annoyance is when I am pulling into my garage. I'll pull in and...

    Remote Start!

I didn't think you were bashing me at all.. I enjoy reading the different opinions here and welcome discourse. I think we both agree that the Kia system isn't the best. I think we just disagree about how big a deal it is. I wish I had disagreements this easy to solve with my teenage daughter.

    Remote Start!

I suppose it's the Kia version, but again, in order to put my Camaro in gear, I have to have the smart key on me and press the start button upon entering the car. Without doing that, the shift lever won't move. On the civic I traded in, if I attempted to shift into gear before pressing start...

    Remote Start!

It's your money, but I look at the steps to driving away in the car as the same. In my Camaro, if I use remote start, I still have to press the start button with the brake petal depressed in order to put the car in gear and drive away. Same with all other vehicles I have had remote start for...

    Remote Start!

Yep.. based on my desire for remote start, and the fact that it can be done with the smart key, I would check that box if I were building the car.. Especially since it costs less to include in the build than to install after delivery.

    Remote Start!

The service manager mentioned that the UVO app may eventually become available (similar to what they have for the K900), but he had no idea when.

    What would you change?

The quote was about $575 parts and labor if I recall. According to them it took almost three hours to put in. I had a coupon for 15% off some service related purchase that I got when I bought the car and I thought it was prudent to put it against this. When it was all said and done, I paid...

    Remote Start!

This is sort of a repost from the "What would you change" thread.. I thought this was important enough to post an individual thread about it, so here it is: Just got the car back.. Nobody at Kia could really tell me much about the remote start, except that they thought it was a separate fob...
