    RaceChip USA Kia Stinger Tuning

I think you're partially right.. I have heard of the problem occurring without the chip, but at a much lower percentage of vehicles than those who purchased a chip. That said, RaceChip originally stated that there are zero modifications required, and are now changing their recommendation...

    RaceChip USA Kia Stinger Tuning

I?m pretty sure gas everywhere has ethanol in some percentage or another. I also think that the octane rating is the most important factor. That said, I haven?t re-gapped my plugs, but now that RaceChip is recommending it, I plan to. I sorta feel like those of us who bought our RaceChip...

    RaceChip USA Kia Stinger Tuning

They have.. only one that I know of. A guy from Canada running 91 octane had some misfires. I?ve got a RaceChip, and haven?t had a single issue in well over 500 miles. I have 93 octane available where I?m at though.

Paint Correction, CQuartz UK and Carpro Reload

I usually just shake it off.. It seems to soak up dust and pollen and continue to clean for a long while. That said, the brush part has a removable cloth sleeve that can be washed in a washing machine. I want to say that you should avoid liquid fabric softener when washing, the same way one...

Paint Correction, CQuartz UK and Carpro Reload

Thanks! It's certainly better than without anything at all, but pollen is imbued with the devil's magic and is impossible to totally repel. I have a thing called a California car duster (you can get it at Walmart) that gets the pollen (or dust) off like magic. Takes about 5 minutes to get the...

    oil changes

I only recently started changing my own oil, so I'm no expert.. but is that type of oil filter common? I'm used to the ones that look like cans that come off, get thrown away and are replaced in total. This thing that is encased in easy to break plastic that has to be forced over some sort of...

    RaceChip GTS Black Initial Review

I?m curious.. have you tried driving the car in comfort mode with the chip? If so, how is that? I ask because the RaceChip site claims a significant increase in fuel efficiency.. also, I find comfort mode to be just a tiny bit on the sluggish side. It?d be nice if the chip would pep it up a bit.

Paint Correction, CQuartz UK and Carpro Reload

According to the CarPros website, this coating (if multiple layers are applied) should last about 2 years. I've had it on my Camaro for 8 months now and its still going strong. Just my personal opinion... If your dealer is only charging $300, they aren't doing it right. The most important...

Paint Correction, CQuartz UK and Carpro Reload

That's pretty much it. I've found that it really matters what products you wash with. I used Meguiars deep crystal car wash to remove dirt. Then I sprayed down with Iron-X to remove contaminates - then clay bar. After that I used a medium cutting pad with Meguiar's 105 to remove swirls...

Paint Correction, CQuartz UK and Carpro Reload

Thanks Phil.. lots of detailers use a clay bar to remove contaminants from the surface of the paint. It?s literally a special type of clay that can be purchased online. It?s a pain to use, but the results were very good. If I?m being honest, I?d say that it is a less important step when...

Paint Correction, CQuartz UK and Carpro Reload

I had a little time on my hands this weekend so I finally got around to applying a ceramic coat onto my car. First I washed and then clay barred the car. I used a Porter Cable 7424 random orbital polisher with a Lake Country 5.5 inch orange cutting pad and Meguiar?s 105 cutting compound for...

What is your preferred tuning method?

So from my experience, reflashing the ECU allows the tuner to adjust more parameters than just boost. If the tune is done right, timing is adjusted throughout the rev range.. and not just at at WOT.. at every percentage throttle. Same for volumetric efficiency (fuel/air) at all rev/throttle...

I really hope I'm wrong about this... Goofy Climate Control

Thanks.. this definitely doesn?t keep me from enjoying the car. I compare this level of disappointment to scoring a date with Scarlett Johansson.. but she shows up to my place with a pimple on her forehead. It?s a little distracting, but I?m still stoked with the general situation. Ditto for...

I really hope I'm wrong about this... Goofy Climate Control

You?re 100% correct. It is my opinion that the climate control in this car would be better if I could control the rear vents from the front seats, whether that means some system where the sync button allow me to do so, or like in many vehicles with rear vents, the passengers in the back just...
