I wish to buy a USB CD player (via Connects2, the Adaptiv ADV-USBCD Plug and Play USB CD Player) to plug into the USB input. Does anyone know, please, if this is compatible with the Stinger GT-Line's head unit?
My enquiry to Connects2 produced this reply: "You will need to confirm with your car manufacturer what system you currently have in the vehicle. It is only Compatible with head units running on Android 4.4 or with USB media player that supports .WAV file playback."
I duly sent an email to KIA UK, and was disappointed to receive this unhelpful reply: "Here at Kia customer car we are not technically trained, I would advise regarding the CD player that you contact you local Kia dealership so that they can advise of any compatible models.".
I haven't yet received a reply from my local Kia dealership!
I should be very grateful for any help, please.

I believe the Kia system does play .wav files. You may not have any controls over the player which would just give you another thing to draw your attention from the road. My advice would be to place whatever audio files you want to play in your car on a USB thumb drive and use the car's radio to control what you want to listen to.

Thank you for your suggestion. Being an oldie, I have a huge collection of music on CDs, and all I want to do is be able to select a CD or two just before driving somewhere, and play them in the car. So, for me, it's just a case of buying a player that's compatible with my car's head unit. In view of the 'lockdown' now (in the UK) I think my best bet, once we're free again, will be to visit a car audio specialist dealer and ask if I can try a player in the car, but not buy it if it doesn't work.

Do you have the ability to rip the cds? I've copied some of my music to my phone and then use Google play music to listen to them via android auto. Amazon music works well also for anything you may have purchased through them digitally.
