Okay, the 2nd and last time. Let's not revisit the antics of the past. LOL We don't all have to be friends but we DO have to get along.

I'd hate to lock a thread with great discussion because we can't get past the past... *Big Cheesy Grin*

I just bought mine, 6 days in and it's annoying as F*. I mean I get it -it seems to either save gas or cool the engine down or both but it's the worst when it goes off for like a second when just stopped and then need to move a few feet forward. Like today I was taking a right turn and stoped for like 5 seconds and it turned off right as I was going to accelerate. It can't be good for the wear and tear of the engine and parts. Yet, yes even with the 2.0 4 it does save gas but jesus lol.

When I first purchased the Stinger it annoyed me too, now I've gotten used to it.

Reading thru this thread, this seems to be one of the most "controversial" topics about the car. I've had my Stinger about 2 months, and this is my first car with auto-off/start. It was really annoying at first. I still don't like it, but have gotten so used to hitting the button at start-up, that it's habit/"muscle-memory" by now - kinda like latching the safety belt.

Same here, I've also gotten used to braking with the right pressure as to not activate the auto start/stop.

I've had mine less than a month and its extremely annoying in Phoenix. It's been over 105° everyday last month and when I would stop the AC would slow down and it would get warmer than I like. So yeah, for mow I turn it off.
