Did you put the gaskets in the base exactly how the came out of the stock diverter base and how tight did you get the base? It took me 4 tries to align that banjo bolt, but im anal about things.

Going to dealership on Monday, after talking with Terry from burger I think the valve is actually fine, I've been able to get the stock to do the same now although tial does it more. I think my ECU solenoid might be the issue.

After talking with Terry he said the operation of the valve looks normal, said I could try bypassing the ECU solenoid. The stock solenoid had a crack in it and Kia put a new one on. I am now thinking this has nothing to do with the BOV and all to do withe the ECU.
Guessing the sound in the video is surge?

No It attaches to your Injen intake, the one you plugged on both side of your intake pipe.

I don't believe you can bypass the solenoid, it has to be plugged in to work right. There was another guy on here that broke off the nipple where that nose slides onto and he had to buy another one. He ask if he could bypass or just not use it an Rob the other Moderater said no, you can drive it but it will drive like crap.

If the car didn’t have the solenoid and a computer modifying parameters if it sees something not working correctly, your BOV would connect to the intake manifold after the throttle plate.

To bypass the ECU you will need to T-in all three vacuum lines and completely remove the sensor. The car will run ok but I am unsure if removing the sensor completely will trigger a CEL or limp mode.
In my case I had the same problem (broken nipple at the sensor and drove like that for a while without knowing and without issue)

Update:
I sent the BOV back, did not try to bypass ECU, I am able to make a noise with stock valves every once in while but with the BOV on it is almost constant, everytime I release the gas. Very frustrating! I'm just gonna leave the stock valves on. Maybe the ECU is bad, don't know

So what I'm reading is our cars have 6psi? Isn't that kinda low considering I often see 14 to 16 osi on other cars?

I read in another forum the car has 12 to 13psi stock.

boost from the manifold holds the BOV in place under throttle. So you don't want a spring rated for your max boost otherwise your intake might not be able to push it up to vent.
