Yo from South Florida.
Bought a 2019 snow pearl white with red package, GT1, the end of November.
Had driven a G70 3 months ago, but had wanted to try the Kia version.
was not in love with the “fly by wire” tranny in the G70 having driven manuals for most of my driving life.
I stayed away from “slushomatics” for years and coming from a M235 convertible with 6mt.
The less decisions the tranny makes, the happier the experience.
So, watched the ads for GT1s, no black on black, wanted a light color interior, whatever I bought.
Dealer a block from my house, only dark interiors. Dealer 30 miles away, bingo....several possibilities.
Drove down on a Saturday, opened the hatch, took a drive and made a deal.
Stunned by the appointments, driving characteristics and versatility of this vehicle. The G70 was a bit tighter and sportier,
this was way more useful, a honest to goodness GT and SUV built into 1 vehicle.
I took some grief from some of my friends and family...”KIA”....Korean? Here I am, stung and stunned!

Manny tranny driver here for 12 years.
If Kia were to release a Stinger with a 6 speed manual tomorrow, I'd be there the next day to trade in mine. The auto is good, but I like to feel involved.
I also went out of my way to get a Stinger color combo I liked.
