A couple buddies and I are planning to log some miles on our cars! (Chevy SS, Focus RS, and my Stinger) Don't know which direction we are headed yet, but we are all in Central Texas. Is there any events happening around late October early November in the Southwest? Or some landmarks we should hit? Not really trying to go cross country but I'd say any border state to Texas is in fair play and for the right event/landmark we could go a bit further. Any ideas are appreciated!

Go up I-35 towards OK City and take I-40 across to NM then AZ, head down I-17 back to I-10 which will lead you back to TX.

There are so many things to do but here are some big tourist points.

Oklahoma
  • Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

Texas
  • The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery in Amarillo
  • Big Bend National Park

New Mexico
  • Red Rock Caves
  • Sandia Mountains
  • Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Arizona
  • Meteor Crater
  • Grand Canyon
  • Montezuma Castle National Monument
  • Old Tucson (Movie Studio)
