What is everyone getting for MPG based on how they drive?

50/50 city and highway, 75/25 comfort/sport, sitting at around 20MPG.

Kia Stinger Owner Quality & Ownership Survey

No options for exceeding expectations? :) I'd at least vote that for comfort. Way more comfortable and fun than I was expecting.

Something in my Stinger seems to be erasing / resetting my work garage parking scan card keys

No, I have it in my wallet, right leg near the drive mode selector.

Something in my Stinger seems to be erasing / resetting my work garage parking scan card keys

Are you 100% sure it's the car wiping them? I understand it seems like too much of a coincidence, but there's a high chance they'd wipe EMV chips on credit cards as well, and that doesn't seem to be reported by owners. I also have an AWID white card that I use for work and that's still working fine.

What car will you be replacing with your Kia Stinger?

That's definitely the thing I tell people who have considered the base Stinger: Don't drive the V6.

Share your Kia Stinger phone mounts

I'd really like a suction cup mount (for the little flat area next to the infotainment screen) but with a slide-in holder like a Proclip...

    Remote Start!

Asked local dealer about it and was quoted $550 for the parts and another $500 for labor...seems a bit high so I'm going to pass for now.

Setup > Sound > I believe "Advanced" is what you want. Audience Mode is the one I usually use.

Who is disappointed we didn't get the suede headliner?

Ok, now I can understand lack of LTE support and rear heated seats...but a button for the back passengers to move the seats up? I think that's stretching it a little bit lol. Does that exist on any car?

FS *****Sunset Yellow Limited Edition Stinger now available*****

That looks really nice, but yellow's just not my color, hopefully it finds a good home! P.S. Ever get Seth Rollins in your dealer? :P

    Shifting into Manual Mode

I just tried the suggested function from the rep on here and my dealer, but neither work. Looks like we don't have a true "manual" mode on the Shift-by-Wire feature. Slowing down to <4.3 MPH, letting go of the accelerator for 6+ seconds, moving the shifter to D again, or holding the + paddle for...

    Sting-err

I agree it's common sense, but nearly every single car out there doesn't have a second picture of a fuel pump with an arrow, let alone one pointing in the opposite direction. I just think it's unnecessary and should be removed, or at the *very* least swapped to the correct direction.

    fuel

10.0 is usually on the high end, yeah. So it probably tunes it down a bit towards 7-7.5 if it detects lower octane when it would need a tighter ratio to prevent knock.

    USB stick preparations

Woah, FLAC support? That's pretty cool. Do you get full ID3 data support with USB media files? I find it slightly annoying that there's no album art or elapsed time support with Bluetooth (iOS 11). Edit: Answered my own question. It does! Going to use USB media for the time being.

    Sting-err

I'm not sure why you'd be defending this so harshly, it's very well known by most people that the arrow points to the side the fuel tank is on, physically. Having two different areas with a fuel pump tell you two different directions is just not needed and unnecessary. Sure the on-screen one...

Testing Out The Harman Kardon Sound System in the 2018 Kia Stinger GT2

I'll throw in my two cents. The BMW I came from also had a HK system, similar to what the Stinger has and I felt the BMW was able to delivery on the bass a bit better, but the mids and highs were much clearer on the Stinger's system. Most likely has to do with the directional distribution of the...

    fuel

I'll concede this point since there's a direct link to this information from Kia. I was unaware there was an actual performance calculation done within the engine mechanics to account for this. I guess I'll start using Premium, since the mileage increase would probably offset the extra cost.

    Shifting into Manual Mode

I just read another thread where a rep claimed (on the shift by wire models) shifting into D twice will enable the "manual mode" that's on the traditional shifters. I have to try this later today but I'm skeptical.

Not even. https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/articles/premium-gas-when-and-why/ Engines are designed for specific compression ratios. Usually, when a car requires a minimum octane rating (91 or 93), it's because the compression ratio is tuned as such for the type of engine. If it's tuned to the...

Not sure why Premium is always recommended for "cleanliness." As long as your brand is Top Tier, meaning it has the certified detergents and other additives, higher octane won't burn any cleaner than regular or 87. There's no timing issues either. If regular can be taken, the timing is...
