    Snow driving

If it's deep or treacherous snow (or mud), you will want to use a mode that has the closest to 50/50 front/rear balance in the AWD system. Which one(s) is that? Regardless, without a LSD at the rear or in the middle, it probably makes no difference because you'll be relying on the AWD system...

Who plans on installing fog lights on the Kia Stinger?

No, because they are non-functional. Ever wonder why the top designed European cars have rear fog lights, but not front? The bright red fog light on the rear side of the car to be passed by others can be very helpful to avoid rear-enders in the fog. Front fog lights do nothing to aid driver...

How loud do you want your Kia Stinger exhaust to be?

What might change things is the electronics side of the equation. If Milltek has already successfully worked with other manufacturers on the integration of the physical exhaust and valves with drive modes, rpm signals, etc., suddenly a less favoured supplier becomes favoured. I have no idea if...

Swapping out the open cupholders for the ones with a lid on the Kia Stinger?

Maybe a bit later...? If we can be patient, and the interest level becomes known, the marketplace might respond...

How loud do you want your Kia Stinger exhaust to be?

Who knows? If KIA was using Milltek for their global Stinger program, it would make sense that they were not developing something "retail." On the other hand, we have no way to corroborate what is coming or not coming for these cars because KIA chooses to keep customers and potential customers...

Swapping out the open cupholders for the ones with a lid on the Kia Stinger?

Thanks--it says they are in stock, too. But this is the same vendor who can't get them for a group buy?

Rumor Mill Limited Production Chroma Blue coming in 2019

The top trim in Canada is already called "GT Limited." The regular one is just GT (approximately the same as GT1 in US). We have no equivalent to the US GT.

How loud do you want your Kia Stinger exhaust to be?

The perfect solution. Why the hell isn't this available elsewhere or even standard on top of the line models?? Doesn't have to be the Aussie version, just something that works the same way (e.g., Milltek from UK). All the serious competitors already have this type of bi-modal exhaust.

Swapping out the open cupholders for the ones with a lid on the Kia Stinger?

Yes, please.... It looks so much better with the proper cover, but what's the cost!?!? And availability (where and when)?

    The Fuel Grade Poll

510 Nm is exactly 376 ft-lbs. The HP is calculated slightly differently in Europe than in USA/Canada (check every other car and you'll see the same slight difference), so these are the same numbers.

    The Fuel Grade Poll

Same as North America....which may or may not be with similar higher octane fuel as Germany. It would take 2 seconds for Kia to clarify, but like all manufacturers, they prefer to leave these things shrouded in mystery. Wonder why?.........

New BMW looks strangely familiar or is it just me?

Nope, not just you. The tables have turned.

    The Fuel Grade Poll

I have no concern that Kia would say use the minimum available in any particular country. The simple question, that still no one seems to be able to answer, is what octane level is required to get the advertised HP and torque numbers? So, out of interest, in Germany where you cannot use...

What are some of the quirks, features, issues you hate most about your Stinger?

Is Central Illinois so much warmer than the Windy City? :) Chi-Guy can't get his warm enough.

    The Fuel Grade Poll

Wow...is that price gap pretty normal in your area?

    The Fuel Grade Poll

Thanks. As soon as we confirm that the advertised power rating is achieved with 87 octane/91 RON, my decision will be final. None of my money will be wasted on premium.
  17. M

    The Fuel Grade Poll

91 RON is equivalent to 87 octane over in the Americas. We know that the car will run fine on 87 octane, but some sources including Kia documents, "recommend" premium, which is 91 or 93 octane (95 RON). Does the NZ manual or info suggest any recommendation for 95 RON? I have a simple question...

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

Not sure, but the Lumen one or whichever one Kia is testing for broader use surely will be a properly integrated system that doesn't bypass any emissions equipment or cause undue sound issues. Like the ones already available from the factory on many other cars for many years, including the...

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

Agree that rpm-activated makes sense, but road speed does not.
  20. M

Who would purchase the bi-modal exhaust if it was available in North America?

Sure, so how does it operate in Comfort then? There are usually three modes for these systems (On, Off and RPM activated). How they match those with the drive modes is important and could be smart or dumb. Custom is especially important.
