Been crazy difficult to get safe to drive!

[dictate] Dude. I heard you the first time. Please cease all this unsolicited, bad advice. Do you work for Discount Tire, by chance? You can drive YOUR car sans motor-oil if you want to for all I care, while posting endlessly about how it won't hurt (look, it starts right up with all the oil...

Thanks! Michelin X-ICE XI3, 225/45-18's all around. Because my OCD feels like I have a matching set between these and the stock Michelin Pilot 4 Summer tires now. [screwy]

Has anyone found a good storage box for the Stinger?

Yeah, I found one, but I still need to secure it better for "spirited" driving... Fit's nice and super strong. It's "structural foam" plastic, so it's less likely to bang up the car's interior. I need to take a picture showing how it fits inside the boot, but here's one showing its contents:

Hey, thanks man! 40 offset, 18 x 8, made in China. Clears the large Brembos just fine. https://www.wheelpros.com/product/wheels/he907/

The other video is much more clear, but to save you from that, they're HALO HE-907's. Pretty effin' sick, right?!

Been crazy difficult to get safe to drive!

All done, finally. The increase in traction is incredible. I've never driven anything better than all-season (and the stock summers) before this... This is incredible to me. I'm over the moon, and it was worth the hassle, but it's been a stressful month... Such a relief to finally be...

The aluminum cone-seats on my chinese aftermarket wheels might hold for a while . . . You can rely on just that, but I like having the rings. Aluminum cone seats aren't hardened or anything . . . I mean, look how much they stretched within the first 15-20 miles of driving. [unbelieveable]...

Yes, luckily I ordered some from eBay and was finally able to get safe tires fitted today! [raceflag] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS1JTl70t44

Been crazy difficult to get safe to drive!

Oh man, This is what I'm going through, waiting for the parts to use my winter tires. TL-DR - he gave me the wrong size rings, but luckily I ordered the right ones on my own and have them now, finally. I am not happy with this run-around with rings from Discount Tire...

Dealer sold me a Stinger with Summer tires in middle of winter

Same here. I specifically asked and my sales guy basically tried to make me feel stupid for even considering summer tires weren't amazing in the freezing ice conditions. He even brought out his lot attendant to back him up and laugh at me for thinking otherwise. I ordered...

    Snow Tires vs Summer Tires

My summer tires "failed" in frigid temps. Let me explain (and I consider myself lucky). I parked on some snow, in gravel, maybe 2-3 inches, I guess there was some ice, and it was on a very slight slope, but very slight. I parked very close to my wooden privacy fence, to test out the parking...

    Winter Wheels & Tires

I cancelled my TireRack order, and took those details to my local Discount tire. They were awesome, and ordered me the exact same wheels and tires, and beat TR's price by more than I could hope for! They'll sync my TPMS and all that for free, and let me mount them (I don't like other folks...

    Winter Wheels & Tires

Has anyone tried these 18 x 7 (narrower) wheels for their winter setups? https://onlywheels.com/wheels/steel-wheel-18?cid=1279,1281,1282# And with the narrower 7-inch wheels, what tires size should I run, same as the stock 18's or should I go narrower with the rubber? Has anyone ordered...

Kia Stinger Wheel Size, Bolt Pattern, Offset & Tire Information

Since these steelies are an inch narrower at 7-inches wide, instead of the stock wheel's 8-inch widths, would I need to downsize to narrower tire from stock too? Or would you just shoehorn the stock 225's onto the 7-inch wide rims? My winter wheels and tires order just got cancelled, so back...

    What torque wrench to choose?

I ran out and bought the Harbor Freight, because it was only $20, but turned right around and returned it (I didn't open the box to check it out before buying it). That little screw to lock the setting kept binding and tightening by itself and I could foresee it being annoying. I ordered a...
