Picked up my CPO GT2 a couple weeks ago so stopping in to say hello.

Really excited about owning this amazing car and becoming part of this exciting community.

Some small cosmetic mods already applied, some big ones on the way. Bms intakes and Borla S-Type are definitely the highlights.

Couldn't not mention the summer wheel and tire set that just arrived and will be going on in the next few days: Variant Xenon brushed bronze. 19x8.5 and 19x10 on General Gmax RS 245/40 and 285/35. Shout-out to Mike at Elementwheels.com for helping me pick out this amazing set up. I'll attach some teaser pics.

Thanks so much Spider. How are you enjoying them so far? Ease of cleaning, paint quality, overall thoughts? My first set of Variants.

I got sponsored by them back in June 2019 so I have one of the first sets of these wheels an since then they have sold a shit load of them. Overall a great wheel as I get a lot of compliments on them, you will be happy with them. A friend of mine just bought his second set, his first set were 20's but he want to go in a different direction so he sold them an bought 19x8.5 35 19x11 50 to match my setup..

Nice. Didn't know you could fit 11s. Quite aggressive. I think it's cool that Variant custom cuts each wheel to fit your car. My front 8.5s ended up at et33 and the rear 10s at et42. Putting them on this afternoon.

Feeling a light vibration at higher speeds. Was I right to torque the nuts to 95 lb/ft? Eliminating user error on my end. Wheels and tires came balanced from elementwheels

Those look great on the car, I like the red lug nuts. Yes 95 or 100ld/ft of torque is good, after you drive a day or two recheck the torque. Do you feel the vibration in the front or back?

Thanks for the reply but it seems to have worked itself out. Smooth as butter at 80mph. Going with 19s instead of 20s afforded me a lot of extra sidewall so it's cushy too.

Variant did a spot on job with the offsets too. Fronts are perfectly flush and should avoid rock chips on the side of the car. Rears poke about 5 mm from the fender and look, well, properly thicc.

Easily the most satisfying stares are the ones in which the person clearly has "WTF is that?!" written all over their face.

Hey Spider, at the risk of becoming annoying, I wanted to ask you what are all the Stinger owners doing for replacement brake setups? Do you have suggestions for any particular kits? Wouldn't mind doing rotors and pads all around, but won't ever be tracking it so just looking for something that at least matches stock performance and maybe adds some visual flair behind these hot wheels. Or if you just want to tell me to use the search bar, I can take a hint.

Thanks again

Everybody has different tastes when it comes to brake kits, a lot of guys are using Cquence Brake rotors with stoptech pads an if you have a higher budget then theirs always a two piece like the Girodisc or EBC. Theirs also some BBC rotors that come from Korea like Noetech & Fella but these definitely cost more.

Check out Khartunerz site.. Here a site on Facebook as well..

Nice. I'm looking for the smooth brake feel. Generally speaking, should I stay clear of drilled rotors in that case? Otherwise the rotors from Cquence look very tempting

You really don't need to buy drilled, the slotted will be just fine..
