The joys of a heated steering wheel on a ?? winter day!

No US-market RWD Stingers have heated steering wheels at present. It's standard on all AWD Stingers, not available on RWD. Yep, I was just as disappointed by this as I'm sure you are. There is a guy on one of the Facebook groups who is trying to add one to his RWD car. He says the wiring is...

    Purchase order?

Took them 3 months, but they finally figured it out. Of course, I went to the MVA on Friday to get it titled and registered in my name, and they had forgotten to include the lien application. [facepalm]

    Baltimore/DC area Stinger owners?

There is a Maryland Kia Stingers Facebook group. There is some noise about interest in a meet on there, but not a lot of organization going on. I am super busy at work (work at a school and classes start next week) but once that dies down I may be able to organize.

    Purchase order?

Cool, makes it easier to say to them, "STFU, you don't know what you're talking about." ;)

    Purchase order?

I mean, in this case they clearly do. :p I'll talk to my local dealer and the CU. Also wondering if I maybe just got the wrong guy at the CU call center. Can you tell me how many customers you've worked with that have done this? Might be helpful to rub in the CU's face if they continue to...

    Purchase order?

No, they were definitely trying to do a refinance. The issue as the CU loan rep said it was that it's a totally different process between refinancing a loan (where you own the car and hold the title but another bank has a lien on the title, and all they have to do is change the lienholder) and...

    Purchase order?

Just got off two phone calls, one with KMF and one with my local credit union. I'm trying to do a lease-to-loan conversion, and the CU said in June that in order for the loan application to be completed, they need the title. I realized this week that KMF might actually have received the title...

SCCA Autocross class for GT2 RWD

The new FastTrack is out, and with it a response to my request to class the Stinger. GT is FS, 2.0T is GS. A little surprised on the 2.0T (my guess is it has to do with power-to-weight), but I was expecting the GT would be in FS.

    GT2 shift-by-wire problem?

Yes, but if you don't push the shifter all the way forward or back and then let go, or if you let it spring back a bit before letting go, it doesn't skip to the next detent. This does seem like a design flaw -- it seems like you're supposed to be able to let it go and have it properly go into...

    GT2 shift-by-wire problem?

We figured it out. When you let go of the shifter in a certain way when all the way back or all the way forward, when it springs back, it overshoots the detent it's supposed to go into and flips to the next detent. I was able to reproduce the issue both shifting to drive and shifting to...

    GT2 shift-by-wire problem?

Just a quick update. It's been getting worse. I went to make a U-turn to get a parallel parking spot the other day, had to back up a bit to clear the curb, and then was sitting in the middle of the road for 30 seconds while I tried to get it into drive. Finally I just held it in the bottom...

Love my Stinger GT2 but have concerns about the car when on twisty back mountin roads

Yeah, I just looked on Kia's site and the adaptive dampers are only on GT1 and GT2. BTW, are you in Annapolis, MD? Your profile is showing as Annapolis, AL. I could have sworn I set my profile to MD when I signed up, but it was AL when I checked, so I think there might be a bug in the forum...
