Hi Terra, I'd read Kia were going to get the optional bimodal through Holden's exhaust supplier ... do you happen to know who this is? I'd seen some article mention Walkinshaw but didn't think this had any credibility.

I have to say ... as great as police contracts will be for Kia Oz, nothing cheapens the private ownership experience more than seeing your slightly unique car popping up everywhere in police colours! And they usually get upgraded brake packages (virtually track ready) and suspension tunes too...

Just read the comments from the 'caradvice' article from my earlier post. Apparently Kia Oz confirmed that 4.9 is for the RWD. They didn't provide any info on the AWD, which is fair enough given its not coming here

Just read another Oz based article on this and it points out (correctly) that the Kia press release doesn't specify which drivetrain will provide the 4.9 sec time. I can't think of a RWD model producing a faster time than its AWD equivalent - only examples I can think of in the Oz market to...

Kia Oz do their own suspension tuning on new vehicles (which is then adopted for all subsequent deliveries) - has had some great results over last 5 years. There's a GT and base 2.0 in Sydney at the moment going through the process. We tend to adopt firmer suspension settings compared to the US...
