Kia Stinger Trunk Space vs the Competition

I live in Jupiter, so the Kia on Northlake is closer to me. They are supposed to receive their display model soon.

Welcome to the Kia Stinger Forum, please post an introduction

Welcome. Well depends on how large your dog is. Unfortunately the trunk of the Stinger looks to be pretty shallow compared to the other liftback sedans on the market. Trunk Space vs the Competition

Kia Stinger horsepower vs the competition

Now we just need to know how much the Stinger weighs. It is a bit larger than the BMW and Audi and judging by their 0-60 times it sounds like it will be a bit heavier. 0-60 times: Stinger: 6.? sec Stinger GT: 5.1 sec Audi A5 SB: 5.7 sec Audi S5 SB: 4.5 sec BMW 430i GC: 5.6 sec BMW 440i GC...

You guys think dealers will try to charge over MSRP for the Kia Stinger?

Kia is already aware that this will not sell in large volumes because its a huge underdog. Dealers might keep it at MSRP to start with, but once inventory grows they will need to use discounts to their advantage.

    Kia Stinger Tire Options

Various options include Bridgestone, Continental, and Michelin. The Michelins will be the 19" performance tire for the GT. Their new Pilot Sport 4 tires. (Not Pilot Sport 4S)

Would you guys consider the diesel engine if it was made available in North America?

Possibly. I used to have a 06 Jetta TDI and even though it only had 100hp / 175tq, it was very punchy at low rpm. The mileage was the best part. The Stinger diesel would offer the off-the-line acceleration of the V6 and mpg similar or better than the gas 4cyl.

Kia Stinger Trunk Space vs the Competition

That's what I was thinking. However, considering this is based on a platform shared with Genesis sedans, I wold assume it could have been setup to provide good trunk space.

Would you purchase a Kia Stinger Coupe?

I have a coupe now but I want something more practical. A Stinger wagon would be awesome. http://www.carscoops.com/2017/01/all-new-kia-stinger-looks-great-as.html

Kia Stinger Trunk Space vs the Competition

So the biggest draw for me (other than RWD), is the liftback design. Should be convenient for me to load and carry my road bike and golf clubs and other larger items when needed. The other vehicles on the US market in this configuration are of course the BMW 4 series Gran Coupe, and the Audi A5...
