Hey all, I've had my Stinger a couple of months so I figured it was high time to join the fold. Howdy.

Thanks all, pictures will follow after fate has decided whether or not I'll actually be keeping the car. Long story short, and likely less to do with the car itself than the dealer I bought it from, but it's been a bit of a nightmare since day 1, and almost 3 months in I'm nearing the point of throwing in the towel. But I'm nothing if not determined, persistent, and a glutton for punishment, so hopefully I'll be able to outlast the various issues I've been fighting, and end up keeping the car that I really, really want to like. Or at least get an identical replacement that I'll be able to enjoy like I should have with the current one. I mean, I'd hate to sign up for a car forum only to have to ghost it and sign up for a different car forum soon afterward, so here's to hoping it all works out in the end! :D

I had issues wth my dealership also... mostly customer service, not really anything to do with the car. I opted to go old school and sent a letter to the owner. The general manager called me and I can't tell you how many times he apologized. Ended up correcting all the issues, gave me tire rotations on top of the oil changes, and installed splash guards charging me only $35 for labor. (And this was the second dealership I went to.... first was a nightmare) Hope it all works out for you, they are awesome vehicles.

Thanks Beach, that's pretty much the ladder I've climbed almost to the top at this point. I'm liking the old-school approach though - nothing says "I'm not just a number in a computer" like an actual piece of paper with writing on it :D Cheers!

Best of luck to you - I think one of the final paragraphs in my letter summed up many owner's complaints:

"I am hopeful that my experience is the exception to the rule and is not the norm. As Kia introduces higher end models with starting prices above $30,000 there will be more customers walking through your doors who will expect a higher level of service, much as I have. They will not be willing to play the numbers games and will expect a more personalized sales experience. The customer service should not stop as soon as the papers are signed, if anything it should increase in an effort to ensure a repeat customer."

Your check is in the mail, thanks Beach! :D
