Canadian vs. US Stinger

Hi all, I've been trying to figure out the answer to this, and I just cant. It seems that the badging on the rear of the Canadian Stingers have the new Kia logo in the center of the trunk lid, with the Stinger logo on the left side:

But the American Stinger has just the Stinger logo in the center. Side by side comparison here:

Seems odd to me that Kia would waste the energy and cost to differentiate badging like that when its rather trivial. Just curious if you guys know. Thanks!

Kia is making some wacky choices with their badging. Here's the updated UK Stinger, where they still use the old Kia badge....
