Seems possible to make hood vents functional on the Stinger

Agree, plus the position of the factory vents and possible openings, place them on a section of the front where the passing air would act as a vacuum and suck/extract the warm air in the engine bay.

you don't want to introduce water into the engine compartment if you can avoid it.

the fake vents make the stinger stand out compared to other cars on the road. it's annoying that they're fake but they look ok.
