From what I read it can remote start your car using the factory fob. It sounds almost too good to be true but does appear to have been selling for several years for other Kia’s.

It would be worth 300 to remote start and proximity unlock.

Hopefully they'll provide some video of the remote start working. Would be nice to have especially lately with the deep freeze we are getting.

I received feedback from their sales group regarding availability.

They are saying 3-4 weeks at the latest for availability.

Not that I am aware of. Should know for certain when it’s released in a few weeks.

Looking forward to this device. Primarily for the ability to get in and drive without it shutting off after a remote-start. The other features look nice too. Hopefully not too much of a frankenstein install (splicing). I'd prefer a plug & play installation. Not because I'm lazy, as I'm adept at splicing/soldering/heatshrinking, but I just hate splicing factory wiring on my new car. Maybe I can find the installation instructions for one of their other units for a different car to get a sense of what is involved.

Looking at the install instructions for the Optima, it is quite involved and definitely a splice situation with several panels removed and new wires run to various places. Expect a full day to install this thing unless you do this kind of work regularly, then it would just be half a day. I'm going to wait for the Stinger instructions to be published before I decide if this is something I want to install, since the harness locations to be spliced will probably be different. Regardless of my hesitation on the install, it looks like a really nice device.

I agree with splicing the wires. I’m going to look into seeing if there are some adapters that I can make so I don’t have to splice the existing harness. If I find anything I will post in here

Anyone installed this on their Stinger? Interested to know how complex it is as the instructions don't provide much details.
