Are you having brake problems?
Besides driving fast and wanting to replace the pads, no lol. Just wondering if there are some good aftermarket pads for these cars

Extremely limited still. Look up the options @ KharTunerz. He's the only one that's done the leg work and gotten some options put together. Nick also put up a thread somewhere (the other forum?) announcing the availability and a quick comparison between the four options.
I still haven't found anything anywhere other than Khar.

I'm a big fan of OEM brake pads. I like the pedal feel and bite they offer.

What I hate is the amount of dust they produce. So I'm looking for brake pads that are similar/better in terms of performance and produce way less brake dust.

In case anyone is interested the stock brake pads are:

Stinger GT - Brembo 58101 J5A51 Front

Stinger GT - Brembo Rotors 51712 J5500 Front

Stinger 2.0L - 58101 J5A00 Front

Stinger 2.0L - 58302 J5A00 Rear

Has anyone tried any of these brands?

  • GiroDisc Magic Brake Pads
  • Centric Posiquiet Ceramic Brake Pads
  • Stoptech Performance Street Ceramic Brake Pads
  • HAWK HPS Brake Pads

HAWK usually has several lineups offering less dust based on the compound. The options will grow with car sales. If the same pad is used on other Kia models that helps proliferate the need for aftermarket options but chances are people would choose aftermarket options for Stingers instead of their Cadenza.

Stoptech and Hawk are really good. Have used them on my other vehicle and have been great, no noise and low dust.
Also Akebono are excellent too.
