Pretty easy.

Yank - terminal from battery
Use flat blades screwdriver with the flat blade perpendicular to the plane of the steering wheel on the 3 ?push? ports to pop out the airbag module.

Unplug the horn/2 airbag plugs

Unbolt main center bolt (21mm with extension and breaker bar).

Remove wheel.

Work slowly, paying attention to screw locations and cord mapping / paths.

Don?t force anything. If something is stuck, there is a screw.

The tricky part is that you can?t pull the left/right button Banks until you remove the paddles. There are 2 screws at an angle holding those in. Remove those first, then gently rock the paddle shifters out and unplug.

Everything transfers over except the gloss trim at the bottom (but screws are needed).

Pretty simple...

Amazon...

OEM Korean spec part

You can get them from other places too... I think tuscanicustoms and k8stinger sell em.

I also have the Alcantera center arm rest and shift handle.

Great job nhcowboy28

Do you have any pictures of where you popped off the cover to access the airbag module. Think is really a cool mod I'd like to do.

Great job, wish Kia would have made that a purchase option.

There are holes near the paddle shifters and one on the black gloss trim (near a screw hole).

Feeeeeels goooood.

The stock steering wheel isn?t bad. But I wanted to match the armrest and shift gear knob.

I wish it was half Alcantera / half perforated leather (where the perforated leather is on the stock wheel)...

Now that I have this spare core sitting around... I may eventually find a leather shop do to that (and add a red center stripe in the top).

Looks pretty dang good. I'd be all over swapping out the steering wheel if it was something like this with leather at the top and bottom.

2 hours not knowing what I was doing.

Could do it now in 30-40 minutes I?m sure.
