We don't know if they're compatible on North America-spec Stingers, that's the problem. It's why we haven't started selling these yet. Unfortunately Mobis does not allow airbags to be returned, so we can't even test it out.

I guess if it doesn?t fit you can always get the rest of the steering wheel lol

It looks to be anchored down by only 4 post. Nice tug and it should pop off?

...but if that isn't compatible either...?
No but seriously, most of the time these parts are compatible, but there have been instances where we've gotten burned. It's not like there's a high profit on things like this where it's worth taking the chance either. I bought the car for R&D purposes. This item is a bit iffy which is why I haven't taken the plunge myself.

Also, the seller on Ebay is giving elusive answers how these are shipped. It's illegal to ship explosives via postal services and the delivery time he's got listed is way too slow for UPS/DHL. I'm sure this wasn't researched, so the product description (and price) will likely change pretty soon.

Great find. I was actually waiting for this. I do have doubts about how shipping will take place as I know UPS and Fedex do not ship this kind of items. Not sure what are DHL's policies.

Installation should not be a problem, as I suspect mounting will be the same. On the harness side I'm not completely sure, but I suspect it is a straight plug in affair.

Anyone have a diagram?

There's a member on our FB group page that confirmed this is the right part.

His tip.
There is three small holes, two on the sides, one on the bottom that you'll have to press the pin to release airbag

Thanks for confirming. Did you pull any fuse or just disconnected the battery before removing the airbag?

Just disconnect negative terminal and wait 15 min, before disconnecting airbag

Opinions about airbags

We sold several products on eBay.
Several buyers have been contacted in advance ...
Compatible with North America and Canada.
Europe seemed mostly incompatible ...
There are two types of stinger airbags.
DEPOWERED, ADVANCE
Airbags sold in Korea are advanced ...
North America and Canada were mostly advanced types.
However, most of Europe, such as UK, Spain and Poland, are DEPOWERED type ...
In North America and Canada, they have the latest airbags
Europe and elsewhere knew that there was an old airbag installed.

Advanced type than DEPOWERED
It is one step upgraded airbag ...
Please refer to it.

Interesting. I'm surprise they're not all standardized.

They make cheaper and more expensive versions depending what some markets want and what local kia dealerships think will be selling and interesting to customers.
