For now, yes I'm planning to keep it for a long time. The only thing who can change my mind, if the stinger become a lot of problem....

Had a 1996 Honda Prelude VTEC, 5 speed with 205,000 miles and a 1999 Mercury Cougar V6, 5 speed with 200,000 miles. Both running good till August 2017 Harvy flooded both in 4 feet of water for 2 weeks in my garage. Looking to get 25+ years or over 300,000+ miles out of my Stinger GT2. I did purchase the 10 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper extended warranty.

I plan to keep mine indefinitely. I?ve averaged over 200K miles on my last ? dozen vehicles, including 235K on my ?08 Altima Couple V6 SE that I traded when I picked up my GT2 in May. (I buy at-least V6?s, and keep ?em well maintained, especially disciplined on oil changes -every 3-4K miles.) That said, I?m at a point in life where I have the ability to be more fickle. Maybe I?ll trade up in a couple years if KIA comes up with some exciting new changes to the Stinger.

4-6 years would be a good time for me to swap out cars.

Company lease, so one year.

I might be able to extend it to two years.

Normally 5 years but I might hang onto the Stinger a bit longer.

First year run, Limited Edition Sunset, 10 year power train warranty, and a lifetime warranty on my new paint job....

20+ years for me! Already rust proofed and undercoated it! LOL

Wow lucky.

I normally get the urge for a new car every 4 years.
It's a bit annoying as just when I'm getting used to a car, I have to switch. Not to mention the whole do I do any upgrades question. Doesn't seem worth it but I live to do them.

Did KIA end up repainting the entire car?

They're doing it as we speak. LOL

It's a repaint of the metal panels. The paint on the plastic covers and trim sticks just fine.

Wow. Hate to see her stripped down like that but I'm sure she'll turn out beautiful.

I agree 100%. LOL

The positive is that, because it's a factory warranty issue, if they do make a mistake it's on them to fix!

Wow indeed. Did Kia choose the body shop or do you choose your own?

Most Kia dealers have a body shop lie one that they use. I believe that you could probably work it out with Kia directly if you wanted a different place to do it add long awd they agreed to adhere to their very specific process and hours.

Lifetime warranty on the paint? Are you in the US? As I understand it, we are offered the same paint warranty on our repainted as we had in the general Kia warranty.

Because of the warranty I might hang on to the Stinger a bit longer. Most of the time it's every 4-5 years.
