Thank you very much! I'll set it to 36-PSI on all four corners.

This goes for any tire and whether we have 18-inch or 19-inch wheels correct?

I appreciate the information! :)
Take a look at the placard placed on the drivers door sill

Update I had dealership check my brakes because i kept hearing a sound like brakes were rubbing and sure enough they said it was a common issue they were having. Dealership cut all 4 rotors and said it shouldnt be an issue. However they couldnt tell me if it would again be an issue if i upgraded to some drilled rotors.

It doesn’t matter if you change your rotors. It’s the sh***y Kia brake pads!

Yes the brake pads suck big time. The G70 has the exact same problem only took 2,000 miles for this to happen on my car.

What I did in a safe spot of course was put the car in sport mode accelerate to about 70 mph slam on the brakes and repeat five times as fast as possible. Problem solved until it does it again.

I'm thinking about trying the brake pads in the picture below eventually they are priced fair and they have to be better than stock. I believe the stinger and G70 use the exact same brake pads some manufacturers list both cars and some manufacturers only list one of them.

Amazing replies and information!

Thank you everyone!

I will have them fix it a second time with OEM parts... but... if this happens a third time... maybe have them replace the entire vehicle or get a refund?

My only concern with using aftermarket parts is if this issue happens again then they can try to play games with me...

I love the car to death and I just want this bullshit resolved. It's getting very old.

Foolish question but what is the corporate number?
Not to be an ass but I'd like to see it. There is no way you are getting a refund over brakes. Not in a million years

How are you liking your new brakes, any issues?

How much were the rotors? They do look sharp!

The rotors work awesome, I also have steel braided brake lines & performance brake pads, feels like a different car. I bought the rotors on sale so I payed 1500 normally they are 1900.

Besides R1 rotors any other suggestions that won't break the bank? I've seen EBC that are close to a thousand and more. I'm not a racer, the car is more for daily driving and the occasional spirited driving. I looked at Stoptech but I can't find a place that sells non-slotted or drilled. Just looking for the plain front and rear rotors that doesn't vibrate, shudder when I brake from 60. Oh, I also had my pads changed a few months ago to the Stoptech from k8 Stinger shop. It's only one they sell. But the rotors there are crazy expensive and more on performance racing.

Hi Spider55,

Have you ever dealt with KharTunerz? I shot them an email a few days ago but no one replied back. I wanted to know if the rotors on their site was for the GT2 AWD. The description doesn't mention which model it's for unless they are all the same for every Stinger. Any thoughts? I was looking at the Stoptech Performance and Cquence Brakes Brembo.

Thanks

Yeah, let me know what route you're going. I have a GT2 and I've changed out my pads to EBC Red Stuff and I'm still having warping issues. Really disappointing. I hate having to get my rotors resurfaced or replaced every 4-6 months.

The rotors for the RWD & the AWD are the same. There's no difference between the models..

Thanks Spider55!

The only reason I asked was because I went on CARID and they separated the 2.2 and 3.3 so that got me a little worried. Thanks for the info.

Hey Mad Macgyver,

Think I'll be getting the CQUENCE brakes from Brembo.

The none GT models have different Calipers but the rotors should be the same. If you have a GT, GT1, GT2, GTS or a scorpion your golden.

With aftermarket rotors & pads you won't have that problem. It's not the rotors that is causing the problem, it's the factory brake pads, they're garbage. If they do replace the rotors & pads, order yourself some aftermarket brake pads & that will elevate the problem..
Im the happy owner of a 2020 GT2 Stinger, I love the car, by far one of the best all around I've owned! (I had a 1997 , 911 Turbo)
having said that
the Breaks Issue has been and continues to be a big problem.

1st of
Every single Kia service dealer manager that I have taken my car for service about
my breaks problem with the Stinger knows about this problem.
Here's where I had the car serviced:
Bridgewater NJ Kia, Dallas TX Southwest Kia, Fremont CA Wynn Kia

The Breaks where not engineered correctly for this almost perfect price-performance GT sports sedan.
We are all paying the extra price for this critical and poorly engineered part of our cars.
I am now on my 3rd set of break rotors and pads. My car now has 42,300 Miles.
So I'm basically getting around 14,000 miles per rotor & pad set (all 4)

The 1st two sets I just had them replaced with the Kia recommended solution (bad idea)
I wish I would have search for this forum 1st
The current set, a performance package recommended by the Kia service manager at Bridgewater NJ Kia
is now failing too (shaking when braking).
Here's my current setup:
From: Summit Racing <CustomerService@SummitRacing.com>
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/PWR-K8510-26
Power Stop Z26 Street Warrior Brake Upgrade Kits
Disc Brake Kit, PowerStop - F&R Z26 Street Performance Brake Pad and Drilled & Slotted Rotor Kit

To me, It is beyond any doubt that The Breaks where not engineered correctly.
If I was a lawyer (I'm not)
I would be collecting signatures for a a petition or something from all the US Stinger owners
to have Kia rectify and replace the breaks at their expense.

I'm about to replace the rotors and the pads again (4th time)
I will replace them after I drive from Fremont CA to Dallas this coming week.

Can you guys tell me what is the absolute best performing and lasting
breaks rotor & pad set based on experience.
I will like this next set to last a longer than the 14K miles I'm getting, maybe 30K miles...

Thank you all!
