Okay... here's a video of my 2020 GT AWD just now on a nice smooth newly paved level part of the road... we checked the grade in various spots to make sure. Temp was 72 degrees and low humidity. The car is def. a factory freak. I called Kia about this abnormally fast car and the service department told me maybe Kia accidentally tuned for 380hp thinking it was a 2021 LOL! They did that to a select few 2020s but advertised as 365hp... according to what he told me... don't know if that's true or not... He asked me if you wanted to bring the car in and slow it down for you...? I replied Nooooo NO! Now there are 2 people in this car (wife and myself), half tank of gas 91 Octane Venezuela Petrol ;) This timer is very accurate... get the same time with the draggy... maybe plus minus .01 difference. Had the timer at the track several times with different cars... within 1/10th of 1/4 mile time... so that's good enough for me. You can program the rollout if you want... normally that's about 12". Okay here we go for a video... didn't use the draggy because the passenger was recording it with my iPhone =D. Same results anyway... tested that already several times! I pulled a 4.38 in this video which is what the car normally does on a level road... 4.35 (no passenger but 3/4 tank of gas) 4.37 (with passenger 1/4 tank of gas) 4.43 (3/4 tanks of gas 2 passengers).... worst times were on an incline, 2 people in the car ... 4.6 - 4.77 ... those were my worst times but not on a level road. Never timed going on a decline... yet ;) could hit 4.1 or 4.2s maybe?
I ran it to ~67mph.

No sunroof or 1 ton radio system in this car :p No Manual ;)

Congrats. Funny that they offered to slow it down for you. Lol.

Performance Accelerometers are tricky at best (calibration required, etc.). Personally, I'd only be satisfied with a 10 Hz GPS receiver.

Take a 10 Hz GPS with you the next time you go to a drag strip and let us know what 0-60 times you get, should be interesting!

Been using this for 15 years with many cars... it's very accurate. in fact, I was the first person to do a 0 - 60 run video on the internet back then using a G tech. I'll never forget it when my friend told me... hey your video is famous... first of its kind! LOL Yes you have to know how to calibrate it and put in the proper rollout, pitch... and it has to be mounted in the exact center of the car. road has to be straight or it'll error. Level road is what you want but I'll work on inclines or declines (to a point) which will give you exaggerated results :) I have a draggy(hate the name) as well.. I get the same times give or take .01 sec. Don't know more what else to say except I'll be taking the car up to Barona soon on a Test & Tune Weekend :D Thanks for the input though!

I'm sure it's accurate if correctly calibrated, but it leaves too many varaibles for my liking. The Dragy seems worth the $$, but requires the use of a smart phone to function. My dream timer of choice is the $500 Performance Box. A self contained unit, independent of any other devices, 10 Hz GPS, no calibrations required, same tech as the company's Vbox used by all the professional testers. Even better is their new $680 Performance Box Touch which utilizes a touch screen and even has slope correction mode (corrects acceleration results based on the gradient slope of the test). But I can't see spending that kind of money just to verify a few 0-60 times on an unmodified car, even if the results are a virtual lock. Stay safe! (y)

In car timers are not GPS based and instead utilize info received from the car's computer. The problem with that is twofold: a vehicle's ECU (when compared to fast 10 hz GPS) have very slow refresh rates, along with using wheel rotational speed to make computations. That means sluggish computing from the start, in addition to any spinning from the tires further magnifying errors. That Performance Box touchscreen unit with slope correction is looking better and better. (y)

Dodge 2015+ cars (challenger r/t scatpack) moved the timers to the front wheels to account for rear wheel spin so they are pretty close. Prior to that they were driven by the rear wheels so we had people posting 0 to 60s in like the upper 3s, low 4s but it did not account for all the spinning that was going on...LOL

Well, using them on the non driven wheels is a step in the right direction.

Now they just have to add slope correction or else the driver has to find a perfectly level road.
