What would you change?

Personally the Stinger offers just about everything I'm looking for and there's not much I would change...except one thing; to me, the gauge cluster is pretty bland. If I had the power to change it I would make it all digital, like some of its competition.

If you could change something, what would it be?

I'm not a fan of the tack-on tablet infotainment screen. That goes for all cars. I see that they're trying to raise the screens position so your eyes don't have to look down from the road but the screen need to be better integrated into the dash. All these screens look like an afterthought.

AThere's not a lot I'd change. The car has just about everything I've been looking for but an all LCD (configurable) instrument cluster would be really cool but I can live with the gauges. Of course I'd add more power, 400hp or more. I'd like to see a height adjustable suspension and a better AWD system with a center and rear eLSD.

Is the Stinger going to come with ambient interior lighting? I'd like to see that.

I would get rid of the chrome trim for painted ones. Make all the non-functional vents functional.

Or just get rid of the non-functional ones (hood and rear wheels). I will be monitoring the aftermarket space for possible swapouts for the chrome bits, and maybe even simple painted caps for the hood.

Yeah that would work too.

Roof should have been painted all black on models with pano-roof, badging should be consistent on all market. Virtual cockpit would have been nice. Would like to see an optional spoiler.

I would like to have seen the Sunroof be a true option, not a standard feature. I would prefer a little more leg room for rear passengers, a tall driver eliminates a seating position almost automatically.

I would also agree that the chrome is a bit much and would prefer a body color option. I would like to see a standard shifter setup, but that is because I have not owned a newer vehicle yet, all mine have a PARK position. I also see that many people, myself included will most likely swap out the pedals for something more substantial, the grip on the current pedals seemed lacking in the demo unit.

The Infotainment screen is something I would change the style on, it really looks like a docked tablet. I do want the screen to become anything like an Infinity but trim the bulk around the edge. I am hoping that it comes with remote start but I can find no information on that right now.

When I sat in the Demo unit the center storage area felt cheap and almost made of cardboard, that needs to be improved.

I'm wondering if it will have remote start too. I know the K900 has it through UVO, so my hope is they'll offer for the Stinger too. My current car has it (through the fob) and it's spoiled me; having a remote start app would be even better.

I literally answered this is another thread. You will have an option but like Hyundai, I believe that KIA will have something similar to Blue Link (UVO I'm assuming). The car will already be capable for Remote-Start. We will probably have to subscribe to the UVO system in an app based feature. Hyundai's is over $100 annually. Same company so they probably are offering something similar.

As for what to change about the car, the flashy chrome accents for painted ones as ATXStinger said and the tailights. LEDs that are seperated by body panels = no bueno. Alignment issues, matching color issues, the list goes on. Besides these two nit-picky things, it's a h*ll of a car

Ok I should have done my homework; I just saw a review of the 2018 Kia Rio, and it has remote start using the Uvo app, so, looks like you are right. I mean, surely if they offer it for the Rio, the Stinger will have it too.

Such a cool feature; literally works anywhere in the world (the reviewers had someone in Germany use the app to start the engine/sound the horn and it worked perfectly), and you can set the climate temperature. And even better, UVO is app-based and doesn't charge a subscription fee like Hyundai with Bluelink.

For what you get, pricing is just right. I just hope dealers don't try to charge premiums.

Pricing in US might be right but in Europe its crap. In Estonia for example 2.2l 4wd diesel would cost 46k EUR. That is absurd. You can get fully loaded brand new VW Arteon for that price. Which is faster, better equipped and not KIA :p

Not that we dont even have car tax here, just 20% VAT.

My bad, I didn't realize you were in Europe.

I wasn't meaning that maliciously.. I should've looked through the forum and found what this thread was talking about. I would have replied to this thread instead lol sorry man. I'm happy to see that UVO isn't a subscription. It seems like Hyundai was trying to make there brand more exclusive? and worthy? to have owners pay for the subscription. Good on KIA for that

Oh no, didn't take it that way at all, sorry if I sounded defensive or something. :)
I'm genuinely glad it comes with remote start since that's now one of my Must Haves. I know this is nitpicking but the ONLY thing I don't like about their and Hyundai's remote start is it flashes the hazards while the engine is idling. That's kind of annoying and I wish there was a way to disable it, but otherwise, it will be nice to fire it up and set the temp from far away.

I never knew it flashed. I didn't subcribe to the Blue Link just because of the price. There were multiple features but I would've only used the remore-start and maybe the diagnostic test from time to time. I'll be happy when we can have the key handed to us in dealers and see what it's like ourselves [thumb]
