The 2.0T and GT trim levels might be good for them. Put some lowering springs/coilovers, thick sway bars and some 555's for rubber and that would be a competitor in the autocross world. Hopefully they have sedans categories though...lol

The poll didn't contain my option: Business/Sales car (primarily). I drive around 24k - 25k miles a year all over the PacNW. The idea Kia came along with a Grand Turismo, Italian style - it was like they read my mind. Sport, power, comfort mode and away I drive for 3 - 6 hours on the road on smart cruise control. PERFECT!!! Give me AWD when a lot of rain is coming down in the Columbia River Gorge or up I-5 to the Seattle area, and on rare occasion dealing with a slight amount of snow on the road. Not a problem with AWD. Now, if Kia could find some industry leading 40mpg on the HWY with this much power, I'm all set!

My salesman asked me why someone my age would drive a car like the Stinger (he was nice about it, just curious.)

I told him "some people have to haul kids, some people haul groceries, some people need to haul hay, some people just wanna haul ass."

Well, it's open road, until it isn't. The greater Seattle area is anything but open road. It's a nightmare as soon as it rains... The fine folks of Seattle paid taxes for 5 lanes of highway, then the state or city takes away 2 of the lanes and charges to drive on them. Wow... So if you are "rich" if you will, you can drive fairly freely, but if you are "poor" you are stuck in the common man's lanes. Isn't this the left's class warfare in reverse? Sheesh. But I digress....

However, when heading east, say to Spokane, or down the valley to CA or over to eastern Oregon, indeed it's a pretty nice drive, I can't complain.
