This is always a fun thread on other forums. Let's find out what everyone will be using their Kia Stinger for?

Mine will be a daily driver as I wanted something more comfortable and AWD.

Daily for me. My current drive (Civic Si) has a really hard time in decent snow and sometimes wet dirt (otherwise known as mud). I have a small bit (half mile) of dirt road as part of my driveway and have been stuck in both due to inclines in the road. Not that we get a lot of moisture all year but it's happened enough (in the last 6 years) to be annoying and I want a replacement vehicle to have AWD. I generally just drive alone to work 30 minutes each way so don't need (or want) an S/CUV. Already have a Mazda CX-5 for that...

I?m with KiwiStinger it will be a daily driver for me, and Grand Touring when I can.

I?m hoping mine will come in later this week so I can drive it down to Orlando next week to watch the much anticipated space X Falcon 9-Heavy maiden launch!!! If you think our Stingers have a lot of torque, the Falcon 9-Heavy has an estimated 5.1 MILLION foot-pounds of torque!!!

Lol... sometimes it does get interesting when you?re carrying over 100,000 gallons of liquid oxygen and 25,000 gallons of rocket propellant!

Yup, and liquid propellant can be very volatile, if that's what they use. They might be using solid propellant which is easier to handle though... Still, a lot of fun to watch if you get a chance.

No option for track use? Hehe not that I will be, just wondering how many people actually do.

The 2.0T and GT trim levels might be good for them. Put some lowering springs/coilovers, thick sway bars and some 555's for rubber and that would be a competitor in the autocross world. Hopefully they have sedans categories though...lol

The poll didn't contain my option: Business/Sales car (primarily). I drive around 24k - 25k miles a year all over the PacNW. The idea Kia came along with a Grand Turismo, Italian style - it was like they read my mind. Sport, power, comfort mode and away I drive for 3 - 6 hours on the road on smart cruise control. PERFECT!!! Give me AWD when a lot of rain is coming down in the Columbia River Gorge or up I-5 to the Seattle area, and on rare occasion dealing with a slight amount of snow on the road. Not a problem with AWD. Now, if Kia could find some industry leading 40mpg on the HWY with this much power, I'm all set!

My salesman asked me why someone my age would drive a car like the Stinger (he was nice about it, just curious.)

I told him "some people have to haul kids, some people haul groceries, some people need to haul hay, some people just wanna haul ass." [biggrin][driving]

That sounds pretty cool. I'd love to drive the open road for a living. I'm always telling my wife how much I'd like to be a cross country truck driver, except for the truck driving part. Cross country Stinger driver sounds like the way to go!
